AotM - Mike Generallo Settles Scores

Does a beard negate a moustache? Or is the moustache king among hairy 'dos?

This point of contention has been raised in bar rooms and basements for eons, resulting in vulgarities and bloodshed not seen since the likes of Mel Gibson's Braveheart. However, unlike the parting of William Wallace from his own head, this conflict has seen no resolution.

Until now.

Long time friend of the Aficionado, Mike Generallo has shown us once and for all what compiles a true moustache. Pure, unadulterated and independent upper lip growth.

Gone are the beards, the goatees, the sideburns, the chinstraps and the soulpatches. Today, the moustache alone exists in the limelight, shunning all who have grown around him.

Thank you Mike for settling this age old dispute. But is it truly solved? What are you thoughts? Does a true moustache have to be free of any other facial growth? Openly share your thoughts in the comment section below; after all, It's all for nothing if you don't have freedom.

  1. let me be the first. some of my friends and family members say I look better with the beard, some say without. None-the-less, I have been called Mario, Monopoly Man and "hey, can I have pepperoni on my pizza." None of which bother me, skin has gotten pretty thick over the years. What do you all think, beard or no beard?

  2. Moustache! Mike, time after time you show up on this website and time after time you give fellow aficionados a reason to strive for upper lip excelence.

  4. Thanks for your supportive comments. My wife prefers me w/o the beard, actually this is the first time in the 39 years I have known her that she has seen me beardless, my kids too!
